1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TerrariumSense's website, dashboard, or sensor hardware (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TerrariumSense provides terrarium monitoring hardware and software comprising: WiFi-connected environmental sensors, a web dashboard for viewing sensor data, and a mobile app for alerts and configuration.

3. Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

4. Hardware Purchases

TerrariumSense sensors are sold as hardware products with no recurring subscription fee. All dashboard features, firmware updates, and species presets are included with your hardware purchase at no additional cost. Refund and return policies are provided at the time of purchase.

5. Firmware Updates

TerrariumSense provides over-the-air firmware updates at no charge. Updates may include bug fixes, new features, and security patches. While we strive to maintain backward compatibility, some updates may require sensor reconfiguration.

6. Hardware Warranty

TerrariumSense hardware is covered by a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use. Damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorized modification is not covered. TerrariumSense sensors are designed for terrarium monitoring and should not be used as safety-critical devices.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse-engineer the sensor hardware or proprietary firmware components
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures
• Use the sensors in safety-critical applications where failure could cause harm
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that sensor readings will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet any particular accuracy standard beyond published specifications.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TerrariumSense shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, equipment damage, or harm to animals.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
