Frequently asked questions
What species are supported?
30+ species at launch — red-eared sliders, bearded dragons, ball pythons, Russian tortoises, leopard geckos, box turtles, crested geckos, painted turtles, blue tongue skinks, sulcata tortoises, corn snakes, tree frogs, and more. We're adding new profiles based on community requests.
Can I monitor multiple terrariums?
Yes. Each sensor appears separately on your dashboard. Monitor hot side, cool side, humid hide, basking dock — or different tanks and enclosures entirely.
Does it measure UVB output?
The light sensor measures PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) and broad-spectrum UV. It won't replace a Solarmeter, but it will tell you if your UVB bulb has failed or degraded significantly.
Will it survive high humidity?
Yes. The sensor is sealed for tropical environments — up to 95% RH. Perfect for turtle tanks, dart frog vivariums, crested gecko setups, and other humid enclosures.
How often does it report?
Every 5 minutes by default. Configurable from 1 to 60 minutes in the app.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Never. TerrariumSense has no subscription. You buy the sensor, you own the data.
